                  Released by Orioles
Deduno was reinstated from the DL at Triple-A Norfolk and subsequently released.
                  Analysis
Deduno signed on with the Orioles back in February and had spent the entire season, to date, in the minors. The right-hander posted a 6.86 ERA across 21.0 innings of work for Houston last season, but at this point it appears doubtful that he'll find his way back to the majors in 2016.

Deduno, 32, made only nine appearances (two starts) with the Astros last season before undergoing season-ending hip surgery in August. The right-hander compiled a 6.86 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 21 innings and lost nearly two mph off his average fastball velocity, down to 88.1 mph — likely a result of his hip injury. Outrighted off Houston's 40-man roster in November, Deduno could find work elsewhere due to his versatility as a starter or reliever, but he will need to prove he is fully recovered from the hip procedure if he hopes to make a roster out of spring training.
