This is pretty much academic, as Raines has reached the end of his illustrious (if checkered) career. A seven-time All-Star, he led the NL in steals in his first four full seasons (and is fifth on the all-time list) and won the batting crown in 1986. As one of the quintessential modern leadoff men, he'll be an interesting test case for the Hall of Fame voters.
