ANALYSIS
Dezenzo had a max exit velocity of 109.1 miles per hour and hit one home run in 55 plate appearances with the big club, but he looked largely overmatched following his Aug. 6 promotion from Triple-A. The hulking 6-foot-4 corner infielder hit .212 with a 32.7 percent strikeout rate and a 5.5 percent walk rate while playing sparingly for Houston.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Roster spot could be in jeopardy
The Astros are expected to call up Shay Whitcomb from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, per Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston, and Dezenzo is one of the likely candidates to potentially lose his roster spot.
ANALYSIS
Dezenzo was promoted by the Astros on Aug. 6 and has gone 5-for-25 with a solo homer in his first six big-league games. Houston continues to look for answers at first base, but the 24-year-old isn't off to a great start defensively with one error in just 46 innings. The Astros could also look to move on from Jon Singleton or Aledmys Diaz, but sending down Dezenzo would allow him to receive more consistent playing time in minors. Whitcomb is one of the Astros' top remaining prospects after they were active shoppers at the trade deadline, so he'll presumably have the upper hand for playing time.
