ANALYSIS
Williams last played for the Nets of New Jersey during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, when he posted a modest 4.6 points (on 47.8 percent shooting) and six rebounds in 22 minutes per game. Considering how well he fares in his age-30 campaign, he could be a depth addition to an NBA frontcourt once the CBL concludes next spring.

Recently signed to a one-year deal, he'll provide New Jersey with much needed front court depth. Played in just 17 games for the Knicks last season, and sports career averages of 4.5 PPG and 4.0 RPG. Has played on seven teams in six seasons and at this point he's more of an asset in the locker room than he is on the court. Will provide minimal help from a fantasy prospective even if he sees minutes as a result of New Jersey's depleted frontline.
The journeyman is on his fourth team in six years and should see his most consistent playing time since his rookie year with Atlanta. That said, he remains a face-up big who will need to prove himself defensively to stay in the mix. Don't expect much improvement in offensive production.
Once a top-five pick in the 2006 draft, Williams is nothing more than depth at this point. He'll only see action in games that are out of hand.
Williams, who averaged only 18.7 mpg last year, still led all rookies in rebounding and double-doubles (including five in April). The arrival of Horford will push Williams down a notch on the depth chart, but he should still be able to find about 20 minutes a night at power forward or center, especially if he continues to rebound better than Marvin Williams
Nicknamed “The Landlord” in college because he owned the paint, Williams may be in for an adjustment in the NBA when his 6-8 frame makes him undersized by pro standards. But with his strength, long arms, and maturity Williams should be able to still make an immediate contribution defensively and on the glass. If he earns a prominent place in Atlanta’s rotation, he could be a double-double threat most nights that also blocks some shots.
