The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the host Brooklyn Nets, 131-115, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoffs at Barclay's Center on Thursday. It's rare to see a home team dominated at home in the playoffs and that's just what happened to Brooklyn here. A 32-24 first quarter really made the difference, as Philly held the lead for the final three quarters. A 34-25 fourth quarter really put the game to bed, with the Sixers holding a double-digit lead for the final six minutes. Ball movement was the difference in the game, with Philly out-assisting Brooklyn, 25-12. The Sixers also outrebounded the Nets, 54-43. Philadelphia's defense was also big, as they held Brooklyn to just 41 percent from the field and 21 percent from long range. The Sixers ended up shooting 49 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range while outscoring the Nets in fastbreak points, 16-6. The Sixers (2-1) were led by Ben Simmons, as he collected 31 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals and three blocks on 11-of-13 from the field. Tobias Harris finished with 29 points, 16 rebounds and three assists. J.J. Redick amassed 26 points and two assists while Jimmy Butler accrued 16 points, two rebounds, seven assists and two steals. The Nets (1-2) were led by D'Angelo Russell, as he tallied 26 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Caris LeVert was huge off the bench, providing 26 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jarrett Allen was the only other starter in double figures, totaling 15 points, six rebounds and two assists. These teams return to action on Saturday, as they'll play in Brooklyn with Philly up 2-1.
