Wednesday's convincing victory over the Cavaliers served as a much-needed bounce-back game for the Trail Blazer backcourt of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum after the two posted one of their more inefficient shooting performances of the season Monday against the Kings. The duo combined to shoot a combined 13-of-41 from the field, with McCollum's 2-of-14 performance serving as his worst of the regular season so far. Wednesday, however, the backcourt saw a huge boost in efficiency thanks to the Cavaliers' league-worst defense. Lillard shot 11-of-19 (58 percent) from the field en route to pouring in a game-high 33 points in 32 minutes. McCollum was not as productive as his All-Star teammate, but he still shot 7-of-13 (53.8) percent from the field on his way to scoring 19 points of his own in 29 minutes.
Wednesday's thrilling showdown between the Pelicans and Warriors featured the most made three-pointers in NBA history, as the teams combined to make 43 shots from behind the arc. And it wasn't just high-volume shooting, it was high-accuracy shooting. The Pelicans, who made 19 threes, shot 51.4 percent from three, while the Warriors shot an astounding 24-of-49 (49 percent) from long range in the winning effort. Everyone was getting in on the action too with eight different players shooting at least 40 percent from three in the contest. Most notably, Steph Curry hit seven of his 11 threes in his 23-point third quarter on his way to making at least eight threes for the third consecutive game, making him the first person to do so in NBA history. Some unexpected contributors include Julius Randle, who was 3-of-3 from deep, and Draymond Green, who, despite struggling mightily this season from long range, went 4-of-7 from behind the arc Wednesday.

The Utah Jazz saw a season-defining night from Rudy Gobert on Wednesday. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year tallied 23 points and 22 rebounds to go with four blocks in Wednesday's win. Gobert's 7-of-10 shooting from the field and 9-of-10 free-throw shooting helped Utah achieve a remarkably efficient shooting night, as the team hit 51.2 percent of its shots and went 30-of-37 from the free-throw line. Sophomore guard Donovan Mitchell also had a big night, scoring 28 points. The Clippers, meanwhile, could not keep up with Utah's output. LA shot 45.9 percent from the floor and made it to the free-throw line only 14 times, hitting nine. The frontcourt duo of Tobias Harris and Danilo Gallinari combined to shoot just 9-of-28 from the field for 27 points. The team's leading scorer was veteran Lou Williams, who had 23 points and six assists off the bench.
