Hawks top Lakers despite LeBron James' near triple-double
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, 138-122, at State Farm Arena on Tuesday.
Trae Young led the way for the Hawks with 26 points and 13 assists. Clint Capela also chipped in with a double-double and delivered 13 points with 12 rebounds. Jalen Johnson finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Dejounte Murray ended with 24 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals. Saddiq Bey posted 18 points and eight rebounds. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 18 points coming off the bench.
LeBron James was the best player for the Lakers and sniffed a triple-double after ending with 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Austin Reaves was the team’s leading scorer with 28 points and six assists. Rui Hachimura contributed 16 points and four rebounds coming off the bench.
After the Celtics racked up 81 first-half points and a 15-point lead, the Pacers lopped 12 points from their deficit in the third. acers (27-21) came out halftime a different team, tightening up on defense while lopping 12 points from their deficit. Kristaps Porzingis and Holiday posted matching 17-point efforts while hauling in 12 and five rebounds, respectively.
After building an eight-point lead in the first half, the Knicks' 36-24 third-quarter advantage set up the lopsided victory. New York committed only six turnovers while forcing 15 and shot 38.2 percent from three-point range.

Isaiah Hartenstein produced a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double that included two assists, two steals and one block. Quentin Grimes provided 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Josh Hart finished with a 10-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double that included two steals and two blocks.
The Raptors took a one-point lead into the fourth and outscored the Bulls by 10 points in the final quarter to secure the road win and end a five-game slide. This marks the third loss in four games for the Bulls.
Gary Trent led the Raptors with 24 points on 9-for-15 shooting, five rebounds and a steal, in 32 minutes. Bruce Brow followed up with 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Dennis Schroder totaled 16 points, three rebounds, 10 assists two steals and a block, while Thaddeus Young logged 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. The Raptors shot 51.8 percent from the field, including 14-for-29 from deep.
Meanwhile, DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 25 points on 8-for-17 shooting, two rebounds, five assists three steals and four blocks, in 42 minutes. Ayo Dosunmu followed up with 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block. Nikola Vucevic tallied 14 points, nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, while Coby White chipped in 13 points, two rebounds, six assists and a steal.
Golden State ripped off a 17-4 run near the beginning of the third quarter to take command of this game, maintaining the lead for the final 22 minutes. The Warriors out-assisted the Sixers, 32-10. Golden State shot 56 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range and 90 percent from the charity stripe, while Philly shot 46 percent from the field, 43 percent from long range and 76 percent from the charity stripe
Tobias Harris led the Sixers with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Kelly Oubre had 15 points and six boards. Joel Embiid suffered another knee injury but finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and eight turnovers.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 37 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Jonathan Kuminga compiled 26 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Andrew Wiggins amassed 23 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
