Loaded stat line Saturday
Tyson contributed 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals across 31 minutes during Saturday's 128-122 win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Donovan Mitchell and De'Andre Hunter led the way in scoring for the Cavaliers with 29 points each, and Tyson made a significant contribution to the win thanks to an impressive stat line. He recorded at least two tallies in each of the six major categories and once again put his two-way ability on full display. The forward got off to a slow start this season but has been playing much better of late. This was his sixth consecutive game scoring in double digits, and he has surpassed the 15-point mark four times over that stretch. As if that wasn't enough, his seven rebounds were also a season-high output for Tyson in that category.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Cavaliers took Tyson with the 20th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft after he averaged 19.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a junior in the 2023-24 college season. Tyson is also an accomplished three-point shooter who drained 36 percent of his three-point attempts last season, but that figure was a staggering 40.2 percent at Texas Tech in 2022-23. His ability to defend and hit three-pointers will ultimately determine his role in the NBA, but he's not expected to see steady minutes off the bench in a contending team such as the Cavaliers. Knowing Max Strus, Isaac Okoro and Georges Niang sit ahead of him in the pecking order at the small forward position, it seems Tyson won't have enough minutes to make an impact on a consistent basis, meaning his upside in standard formats will be almost non-existent. He might be a more popular target in dynasty leagues, but even in that scenario, he figures to be a stash prospect rather than a player who can contribute right away.
