Kam Jones Injury: Sidelined to begin season

Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said Thursday that Jones (back) won't be available to make his NBA debut through at least Nov. 9.

More specifically, Carlisle noted that Jones is facing a similar timeline for a return as fellow guard T.J. McConnell (hamstring), who is also due to be re-evaluated Nov. 9. The No. 38 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Jones signed a standard NBA contract with the Pacers but could nonetheless spend considerable time in the G League during his rookie campaign, especially if McConnell beats him back to the court.
