RJ Luis News: Cut loose by Boston

The Celtics waived Luis on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Luis is now expected to join Boston's G League affiliate, the Maine Celtics. The 22-year-old appeared in 35 games at St. John's in 2024-25, during which he averaged 18.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.7 minutes per contest.
