At 6-8 and 230, Jones could step in as a quicker Kurt Thomas. Jones is learning the Phoenix system at both forward positions, and as the Suns work out their rotation, he may get some time backing up Stoudemire at center, as well. He won't get a ton of minutes, but could be a decent contributor, particularly if injury strikes the team.
Jones will split with with Gerald Wallace this year on the Charlotte Bobcats. If Wallace misses a lot of time Jones could get the opportunity to start.
Jones is an active player on the court and will provide an occasional spark off the bench with his rush of energy. Jones, however, probably won't be in the mix for playing time behind Butler and George and isn't even guaranteed regular minutes on a nightly basis.
Will fit in nicely with Boston's rotation of versatile forwards. In the Eric Williams and Walter McCarty mold, Jones can bang down low, but also run and hit the three (crucial to Boston's style). Look for increased playing time and production from Jones.
