ANALYSIS
A second-round pick by the Pistons in 2009, Summers last appeared in the NBA in 2013 as a member of the Clippers. It doesn't sound like an opportunity to return to the league will come about any time soon in 2015-16, as Summers will more than likely report back to Europe to continue his career.

The 2009 second-round pick was limited to mostly mop-up duty in his rookie season, averaging 3.0 points in 44 appearances. Summers is expected to be on the Pistons’ final roster entering the 2010-11 season, but there doesn’t appear to be much of a chance for his role to grow.
Another rookie, Summers was snatched in the second round by the Pistons. Like Daye, he too excelled in the summer league. He has an NBA-ready body with the shooting range to play at the three and the strength to body up smaller power forwards. Of Detroit's rookies, Summers is the most NBA-ready and could see immediate action off the bench.
