Vernon Macklin

Macklin was selected by the Pistons with the 52nd overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. The big man (6-9, 245) out of Florida has a limited offensive game, doing most of his damage near the rim. On defense, he’s a solid rebounder who uses his 7-4 wingspan to effectively disrupt shots. As a second-round pick, Macklin has an uphill battle to earn playing time, but he has the type of toughness Pistons’ brass look for in their big men.
