Tanguy Ngombo

The trade that sent the rights to Ngombo to Minnesota from Portland was approved by the NBA, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. However, after the 2011 NBA Draft it was revealed that while Ngombo listed his age as 21, FIBA records showed he was 26 and ineligible to be drafted.

Portland has agreed to trade Ngombo to Minnesota for cash considerations, but the deal is still pending and contingent upon a trade the Trail Blazers made earlier in the draft, the Associated Press reports. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that Ngombo lied about his age and is 26 years old and was ineligible for the NBA Draft, NESN reports.

Ngombo, who was selected by Dallas with the 57th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, was traded to Portland as part of the Rudy Fernandez deal, NBA.com reports. The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports he was traded to Minnesota, but the NBA.com report says that deal is not confirmed.
