Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2015
In his second season with the Lakers and third overall, Black took part in a career-high 67 games. He was kept in a bench role for the majority of the season, stuck behind both Timofey Mozgov and Ivica Zubac, though he did pick up 16 starts due to injuries and Mozgov being shut down late in the season. Black finished the year with averages of 5.7 points and 5.1 rebounds across 16.3 minutes, while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 75.2 percent from the free-throw line. In joining the Rockets, Black's path to playing time becomes even more complicated. Clint Capela has already locked up the starting center role and he's fully expected to backed up by veteran Nene Hilario, which leaves Black to fight for scraps with Chinanu Onuaku and Shawn Long as the third center. That means he'll have a hard time surpassing the 16.3 minutes he averaged a season ago and could potentially even see his playing time diminish. He'll struggle to make an impact in Fantasy leagues.
