Signed a two-year, $1.4 million contract with the Lakers in July of 2015. Waived by Lakers in October of 2015. 
Upshaw was waived Tuesday by the Lakers, Bill Oram of the Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Upshaw was on the roster bubble throughout the preseason, but with the Lakers already committed to giving Roy Hibbert, Julius Randle, and Brandon Bass hefty minutes in the frontcourt, the 21-year-old wouldn't have seen the court much even if he made the final roster. There's a chance Upshaw could catch on with another squad, but he will more than likely refine his skills with a D-League squad.
