Sonny Weems

The 29-year-old returns to the NBA after spending the last four seasons overseas. Weems, who last played for the Raptors in 2010-11, was considered one of the top players in Europe, earning Euroleague First Team honors in 2013-14 as a member of CSKA Moscow. The Arkansas product was the highest-paid American player in Europe last season, and he averaged 12.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 44 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. One of the better pure athletes in the sport, Weems essentially fills the void left by Gerald Green, who signed with the Heat in July. Weems likely won't be asked to carry a heavy offensive burden, but he figures to be a member of Jeff Hornacek's wing rotation when the season begins. Given the fact that he's been out of the league for an extended period of time, he's a bit of a risky fantasy commodity, particularly for a team with above-average depth at shooting guard.
