A standout at Iowa State University, Nader's strong play in the G League earned him a look with the Celtics. He went on to appear in 48 games for Boston in 2017-18, making his NBA debut on Oct. 18 against Milwaukee. Nader began his career with four points and an assist in that game against the Bucks. After receiving sporadic playing time early in the year, Nader became a fixture in the Boston lineup late in the season. Nader got some run in each of Boston's final 16 regular-season contests, as well. During that time, Nader averaged 14.3 minutes. His two best performances of the season came in back-to-back appearances. After posting 10 points in a loss to Washington on March 14, Nader followed that up with an 11-point effort in a win over Orlando two days later.
