2019 Fantasy Outlook
After originally going undrafted in 2018 and signing a two-way contract with the Knicks, Trier ended up playing a key role in the team's rotation last season. He appeared in 64 games, making three starts, and averaged 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 22.8 minutes per game. He also shot an impressive 39.4 percent from behind the arc, but it was on just 2.1 attempts per game. While the natural progression for Trier would be for him to see an even bigger role in 2019-20, the Knicks revamped their backcourt a bit new talent that may make Trier's path to playing time a bit trickier. The Knicks not only drafted former Duke standout R.J. Barrett with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, but they also signed veteran guards Reggie Bullock and Wayne Ellington. As a result, so long as the Knicks remain competitive and willing to play their veteran talent, Trier will likely have to scratch and claw for every minute he can get this season.

Candidate to be dealt
Trier could be on the move prior to the trade deadline, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Trier has seen a sharp decrease in role in his second season as a pro, going from 23 minutes per game to 13. However, he's continued to shoot the ball well, posting a 68.5 true shooting percentage. That could make him an attractive addition for teams looking to add spacing to their second unit.
