2019
Doumbouya didn't make any strides as a sophomore and actually saw his field goal percentage (37.9%) and three-point percentage (22.6%) drop. The forward saw 15.5 minutes per game and averaged just 5.1 points and 2.6 rebounds, which resulted in a fantasy rank of 424th on a per-game basis. In the offseason, he was traded from the Pistons to the Nets. He'll presumably have trouble breaking into Brooklyn's rotation, as the team is one of the most talented ever assembled. Doumbouya's value as a fantasy asset at this point is almost exclusively as a deep dynasty league stash.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

More opportunities forthcoming?
With the possibility of Blake Griffin undergoing season-ending knee surgery in the near future, Doumbouya could be poised for extended minutes the rest of the season.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 first-round pick is already enjoying expanded opportunity with Griffin having missed the last four games and primary backup Markieff Morris sitting the last five contests with a foot sprain. Neither veteran has a timetable for return, and as already alluded to, Griffin could be done for the year. Doumbouya has drawn starts at power forward in the last three games and averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.0 steal during that stretch, so there's certainly the potential for similarly strong returns should he have a chance to log anywhere close to the 33.0 minutes he's averaged in that trio of contests.
