An undrafted rookie out of LSU, Reid appeared in 30 games for the Timberwolves during the 2019-20 season. Reid made his NBA debut on Dec. 8 against the Lakers, playing three minutes and finishing with three points (1-2 3PT). On Dec. 30 against Brooklyn, Reid scored in double-figures for the first time, posting 13 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 20 minutes. In a Jan. 13 matchup against Oklahoma City, Reid established a career-high with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He made his first NBA start on Feb. 21 against Boston, finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds, three steals and one assist in 33 minutes. Reid went on to start the final 11 games before the suspension of the NBA season on Mar. 11 -- the Wolves not being invited to the restart in the bubble. In that span, Reid averaged 11.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks in 25.4 minutes. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles on Mar. 3 against New Orleans (13pts, 14reb, 3ast, 3stl, 2blk) and Mar. 4 against Chicago (16pts, 11reb, 3ast, 2blk). Versus the Mavericks on Feb. 24, Reid set a career-high with three blocks. Early in the season, Reid spent time with the Iowa Wolves of the G League. In 16 appearances, he posted averages of 18.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.4 steals per game.
