Brooks made his NBA debut with the Rockets after signing a two-way contract with the team April 3. He debuted April 9, playing three minutes and grabbing one rebound. He scored his first NBA points April 12 against the Suns -- a game where he posted 14 points (5-6 FG, 4-5 3Pt) and one rebound in 14 minutes. Brooks saw plenty of action toward the end of the season. In his final seven appearances, the rookie averaged 18.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.7 minutes. During that stretch, he scored a career-high 24 points May 12 against the Lakers. In that game, he also posted six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes. His other career highs were 10 rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block (five times). On the season, Brooks shot 38.2 percent from three, hitting 3.0 triples per contest. He hit a career-high six triples three times.
