2024 Fantasy Outlook
The No. 3 overall pick in 2021, Mobley has failed to take a significant statistical stride forward since his first campaign. As a rookie, Mobley averaged 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.7 blocks and 0.8 steals. Last season, Mobley finished with 15.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.9 steals. There's been a slight improvement, but nothing that's catapulted him up fantasy rankings. He finished outside the top 100 players in eight-category leagues last year after appearing in only 50 regular-season games, despite logging career-high shooting percentages across the board -- 58.0/37.3/71.9. Mobley still has room for growth on the offensive end and has solidified himself as a premier defender, earning All-Defensive First Team honors in 2022-23. The Cavaliers clearly believe Mobley has more room to grow as well, as they gave the USC product a five-year, $224 million extension this offseason. With Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell leading the offense and Jarrett Allen anchoring the paint, Mobley isn't in a position to be a statistical superstar, but that doesn't mean he can't return value in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts. Strong effort in loss
Mobley contributed 24 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 114-105 loss to Indiana in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
Mobley and Donovan Mitchell were a couple of bright spots in an otherwise poor showing from the Cavaliers as the team was bounced from the postseason. As for the regular season, Mobley has plenty to be proud of. He appeared in 71 total games, shooting 55.7 percent from the field and 72.5 percent from the line with averages of 18.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 blocks and 0.9 steals. He also extended his range to the perimeter, hitting a career-high 1.2 three-pointers on a 37.0 percent clip. Next season, Mobley will be entering the first year of a five-year, $224 million contract.

2021
After a standout rookie campaign, Mobley came into the 2022-23 season viewed as a potential breakout candidate. While he was able to increase his production across multiple categories, it was viewed by many as a slightly underwhelming season. He rounded out as the 53rd-ranked player in standard leagues, averaging 16.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. The arrival of Donovan Mitchell cut into Mobley's offensive opportunities, seeing him play as the third or even fourth option at times. He was outstanding on the defensive end of the floor, even garnering some attention in the Defensive Player of the Year voting. Many will be hoping his third season is going to bring with it increased range on the offensive end. He has the makings of someone who could develop a reliable mid-range game, as well as the ability to step out beyond the perimeter from time to time, though his 67.4 free-throw percentage is discouraging. The Cavaliers will be looking to make amends after a poor showing in the postseason. Mobley will be key to making that work, ensuring a solidified role for many years to come. He will likely be available in the fourth round of most drafts, with the upside to possibly crack the top 35 should things go his way.
