Anthony Brown

Brown, selected at 34th overall in June's NBA draft, is possibly the Lakers only true small forward on their roster the way it is currently constructed. That's not to say the senior out of Stanford is going to be getting big minutes, as Byron Scott will likely run Kobe Bryant and Nick Young out as his small forward, but he could fill a small role off the bench, particularly if Bryant was to succumb to injury for the fourth consecutive season. In his senior year as a member of the Cardinals, Brown averaged 14.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.2 blocks, and 2.4 three-pointers in 36 minutes through his 37 games. Remarkably, while only shooting 43 percent from the field, Brown was able to hit his three-pointers at 44 percent, backing up the 45-percent clip he hit them at in his junior season. A conversion of 80 percent from the free-throw line was nothing to sneeze at either. With so many veteran options ahead of him, Brown will have to bide his time, and will likely not factor into fantasy calculations for a couple of seasons at least, but if and when he does get playing time, Brown's deadeye shooting from deep, as well as his rebounding ability, could make him a target for very deep dynasty leagues.
