Cleanthony Early

Entering his second season after being drafted in the second round last summer, Early played merely 39 games as a rookie, averaging 5.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 three-pointers in 17 minutes per night. The small forward missed over a month of action due to arthroscopic surgery on his right knee early in the season and failed to really establish himself in his playing opportunities afterward. Nonetheless, a healthy sophomore season and a year of familiarity within the Knicks' system could help Early make a bigger impact this season, when he'll aim to earn more regular minutes off the Knicks' bench. Still, until Early proves he's worthy of such an expanded role, it's safe for fantasy owners to steer clear of considering him for their lineups.
