2024 Fantasy Outlook
With Bradley Beal added to the mix, Booker played more point guard for the Suns in 2023-24 and posted a career-high 6.9 assists per game. He played in 68 regular-season games, bouncing back from a career-low 53 appearances in 2022-23. Booker has finished inside the top 25 in eight-category leagues in four of the past five seasons, playing at least 67 games in each of those four campaigns. The Suns are running it back with Booker, Beal and Kevin Durant, so things should remain steady in Phoenix. However, it's unclear how long the Big Three will stick together if the results don't improve. The Suns won the postseason tiebreaker over the Pelicans last season, finishing sixth in the West and avoiding the Play-In Tournament. However, Phoenix was swept by the Timberwolves in the playoffs, sparking speculation of a major change. The Suns have the talent to compete, but they need to stay healthy to remain in contention. While the parts around Booker could be problematic, the Kentucky product should easily return middle-round fantasy value if he plays 65-plus games again in 2024-25. Read Past Outlooks

Out for season finale
Booker is out for Sunday's game against the Kings due to right calf soreness.
ANALYSIS
Booker was pulled in the fourth quarter of Friday's win over the Spurs, and the star guard won't be available for the regular-season finale. None of the Suns' "Big Three" players will suit up Sunday, as Bradley Beal (rest) and Kevin Durant (ankle) are also out. Despite the team's overall struggles and the disappointment of being out of the playoffs, Booker was one of the few bright spots for Phoenix consistently. He finished the season with averages of 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game across 75 starts.

Booker rose to a new level of offensive dominance last season, registering career highs of 27.8 points and 49.4 percent shooting. He played in just 53 games due to missing over a month of action from December to February with a groin strain, but he closed the season on a big-time hot streak, averaging 30.5 points on 54.1 percent shooting through his final 34 appearances. He topped 50 points twice, with a season-high of 58 on December 17 in a win over the Pelicans. Booker had seven double-doubles on the season, six with points and assists and one with points and rebounds, as he continued to impact the game in many ways and managed to build on his career averages of 4.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Also notable is Booker's ability to score at the free-throw line, averaging 6.8 attempts per game with 85.5 percent shooting in 2022-23. Looking ahead, the now ninth-year guard will have to adapt to some of the biggest changes of his career, including the departure of his backcourt mate of three years, Chris Paul, and the addition of Bradley Beal, leading to what will likely be a substantially different offensive dynamic heading into 2023-24. Nonetheless, Booker will remain a top option in the offense alongside Kevin Durant, with whom he was able to thrive last season. However, the team's ability to initiate offense without a true point guard could take some time to figure out. The Suns ultimately underachieved in the 2022-23 playoffs, but after their offseason adjustments, Booker and the squad have their sights set on another trek back to the top of the West.

Massive extension on table?
On Get UP, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported that Booker is poised to receive a record extension from the Suns.
ANALYSIS
"We have big positive news potentially coming here for the Suns," Windhorst said. "Devin Booker is in position to sign a two-year, $150 million extension, which would smash all existing records, at least for the moment, on a per-year annual salary: $75 million a year. He is expected to get that offer and to sign it. The Suns have some work to do on this roster, but Booker has been highly engaged with them this offseason on their coaching search and their Kevin Durant trade." Booker previously signed a four-year, $220 million super-max extension with the Suns during the 2022 offseason, and now the franchise appears ready to lock him up even longer. With Durant out of the mix, Booker's usage rate could skyrocket in 2025-26.
