Eric Mika

Mika was born in Boston, Massachusetts on Jan. 5, 1995. He played at Waterford School as an underclassman in high school. For his final two years, he attended Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah. He helped Lone Peak achieve a 26-1 record, the 2012-13 MaxPreps.com National Title and the 5A Utah state title. For college, Mika attended BYU and was quickly named to the WCC All-Freshman Team in 2014. Between his freshman and sophomore years in college, Mika served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years in Rome, Italy. Once back at college, Mika was named to First-team All-WCC in 2017. Mika played at Brigham Young for two seasons. As a freshman, he averaged 11.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25.6 minutes while started 29 of 33 appearances. He earned WCC All-Freshman Team honors. After his freshman year, Mika served as a missionary in Rome, Italy for two years. He returned for his sophomore campaign in 2016-17. During that season, he started all 34 appearances, averaging 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.7 assists. He was named to the WCC All-Conference First Team and the Academic All-American Second Team.
