Aldemir is in the process of finalizing a four-year contract with Turkish club Darussafaka, David Pick of Basketball Insiders reports.
ANALYSIS
Aldemir was one of the Sixers' final cuts in training camp in October, and after failing to attract any interest from other NBA teams before opening night, it appears he's content to return to his home country rather than pursue an opportunity in the D-League. The former second-round pick averaged 2.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game with Philadelphia in 2014-15.

2015 Fantasy Outlook
By way of Turkey, Furkan Aldemir signed with the 76ers last season in mid-December and played 41 games, cracking the starting lineup for eight of the final nine contests. He was originally selected by the Clippers in the 2012 draft, and his rights were acquired from the Rockets during the summer of 2013 for a future draft pick. The 24-year-old averaged 2.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 13 minutes per game in his first season in the league. Aldemir canned 51 percent of his field goals and 48 percent of his free-throw attempts. Even though he attempted five three-pointers as a rookie, Aldemir flashed more range during summer league when he attempted seven over the course of three games. He's spent the summer expanding his overall game with assistant coach Chris Babcock, focusing primarily on his dribbling and shot. Aldemir is an excellent rebounder, leading the Salt Lake City Summer League with 13.3 boards per game, and a skilled screen-setter. Conversely, Aldemir lacks NBA athleticism and physicality to offer passable defense, and he's incessantly foul-prone. Overhauled shooting mechanics may increase his time on the court, but he still needs to improve his defensive awareness and compete with the recently-acquired Carl Landry for playing time off the bench.
