Isaiah Todd

Todd was born Oct. 17, 2001 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was raised by his mother, Marlene Venable. Todd began playing basketball at age seven, when he was already five feet tall. He began playing AAU at that point, and before eighth grade, he moved to Richmond, Virginia to play year-round for the AAU program Team Loaded. Todd's first two years of high school were spent at John Marshall High School in Richmond, where he established himself as an elite prospect. As a junior, he transferred to Trinity Acadamy -- a private Christian school in Raleigh, North Carolina -- on scholarship. He was named USA Today All-USA North Carolina Player of the Year after averaging 28 points and 15 rebounds. As a senior, he transferred to Word of God Christian Academy. Initially, as a top-15 player in his class, he committed to play college ball at Michigan, but then later decided to forgo his college eligibility to pursue a professional career. He signed a one-year deal with the NBA G League Ignite, where he averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. During the 2021 NBA Draft, Todd was selected 31st overall by the Milwaukee Bucks.
