Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Lecque was born in 2000 in Manhattan, New York. Lecque and his family relocated to Teaneck, New Jersey, where he attended elementary and middle school. Lecque passed up the local high school and enrolled at Monsignor Scanlan High School in The Bronx due to its basketball program. He later transferred to Christ School in Arden, North Carolina, and then to Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire for his senior year. Lecque elected to go straight to the NBA out of high school. You can follow him on Twitter (@jalenlecque10) and Instagram (jalenlecque). Lecque had fulfilled the necessary academic requirements to declare for the NBA Draft out of high school. He did not sign an agent at first, as he wanted to leave the door open for a possible college opportunity at North Carolina State. Lecque stayed in the draft past the withdrawal deadline, but he ultimately wasn't taken in the 2019 NBA Draft. He signed a multi-year deal with the Suns the following June and has since played with Phoenix and its G League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns.

Overcomes knee injury
GHouston Rockets
July 12, 2023
Lecque (knee) has suited up in both of the Rockets' last two Las Vegas Summer League contests, logging eight minutes in total while scoring two points (1-2 FG) and chipping in one rebound, one assist and one block.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Friday's 100-99 win over Portland with a knee injury, Lecque was available off the bench for wins over the Pistons and Thunder on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively. Though he appears to be healthy again, Lecque looks like he'll be only a fringe rotation player for the Rockets in Las Vegas.

Instant Reaction: Suns Trade for Chris Paul
November 16, 2020
Chris Paul is joining his third team in as many seasons -- what does it mean for his fantasy value?
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Lecque went undrafted in 2019 and latched on with the Suns, where he played a minimal role as a rookie. He averaged just 6.4 minutes in five appearances and spent the remainder of the season in the G League. Following the season, he was traded to the Thunder and then subsequently dealt to the Pacers within a week. Lecque will be buried on the depth chart behind the likes of Malcolm Brogdon, Aaron Holiday and T.J. McConnell for the 2020-21 season, and the sophomore NBAer will likely not be worth rostering in even the deepest redraft leagues. The 20-year-old should, however, find a home on dynasty rosters.
