Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Jamorko Pickett was born in December of 1997 in Washington D.C.. He is the son of LaQuetta Pickett. He started prep school in D.C. at Spingarn High School, but did not play basketball at Spingarn. For the next three years, he attended Eastern High School, where he played ball during his junior and senior seasons. Pickett then played a postgraduate season at Massanutten Military Academy, in Woodstock, Virginia, where he developed into a four-star recruit. After initially committing to Ole Miss, Pickett later decided to attend Georgetown University. From 2017 to 2021, Picket attended Georgetown and started 109 of 119 games. During his senior season, the forward averaged 12.2 points, 7.2 boards, 2.1 dimes and 1.6 made three-pointers per game. After going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft, Pickett joined the Pistons' 2021 Summer League team. In September of 2021, Pickett signed a two-way contract with Detroit. Pickett, playing in his third consecutive Summer League for a third different team, saw his lowest usage yet in Brooklyn. The 25-year-old hasn't appeared in the NBA since 2021-22 with Detroit, but he has been making a decent impact in the G League. Across the past two seasons, Pickett has averaged 16.8 points per game while shooting 43.2 percent from the field and 33.1 percent from beyond the arc while possessing a poor 0.68 AST/TO ratio.
