JP Tokoto

Tokoto was selected 58th overall by the 76ers in the 2015 NBA Draft. During his final year at North Carolina, the junior averaged 8.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 29 minutes per game. He made 43 percent of his field goals, 38 percent of his three-pointers, and 62 percent of his free-throw attempts. Tokoto dazzled the collegiate scene with his sensational dunks and defensive skills. However, he must improve his shooting form and shot selection before considering cracking an NBA rotation. In seven summer league tilts, the 6-foot-6 high-flyer averaged 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.9 blocks in 23 minutes per contest. He missed all 10 of his three-point attempts and committed more personal fouls (19) than assists, steals, and blocks combined (16). The Sixers have yet to sign Tokoto to a contract, but he will attend training camp in hopes of earning a deal. Since the Sixers already have 16 players signed for the upcoming season, Tokoto may not make the opening night roster, giving him the option to hone his skills in the D-League or internationally.
