Joins Nets' staff
Korver has joined the Nets' staff as a player development assistant coach, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Korver hasn't officially retired, but this is about as close as he can get after not playing last season. The 40-year-old has made the fourth-most threes in NBA history (2,450) and was named to one All-Star game (2015). He'll presumably be spending time with players to help them improve their shooting, though it is possible he's in a more general role in preparation to potentially be a head coach in the future.

Korver accumulated averages of 8.6 points (41.6 FG%, 39.7 3P%, 82.2 FT%), 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.2 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks in 19.1 minutes across 70 appearances in 2018-19. He has now been limited to a single-digit scoring average in three of the last four seasons. Moreover, this was Korver's first campaign since 2015-16 (and just the fifth time in his 16-year career) that he failed to shoot at least 40.0 percent from beyond the arc. The 38-year-old veteran signed with the Bucks this offseason, reuniting with his former coach in Mike Budenholzer. Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and company figure to benefit from the consistent offensive spacing provided by Korver. That said, he just posted his lowest minutes average since 2009-10, and there's no guarantee Korver will see an uptick in playing time going forward given his age and the likelihood that the club prioritizes keeping him fresh for the playoffs.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Not sure about potential comeback
Korver is "not sure" when it comes to playing one more season in the NBA, according to Mark Medina of USA Today Sports.
ANALYSIS
Korver has generated interest, but the veteran sharpshooter remains undecided on whether to play another year or calling it a career. "I'm not sure. I've talked to a few teams about it," Korver said of a potential return. "Coming out of the bubble, I believe in honoring the game. I believe you honor the season with a good offseason. Coming out of the bubble with the quick turnaround, I didn't feel I really did that. So I don't want to cheat the game. If I want to go play, I want to go play well." he said. Korver could boost any offense in the league, though, as he's shot 42.9 percent from three-point range for his career.
