Back with the team that drafted him and where he thrived the most, Stephenson appeared in 82 games for the Pacers last season. He played a sixth-man role, seeing 22.6 minutes per game and averaging 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists on 42.7 percent shooting. Stephenson was also given seven starts, averaging 13.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists in those opportunities. he'll be joining a new team this season, signing a one-year, $4.4 million contract with the Lakers over the summer. That said, the guard will probably have a tough time garnering the same type of run that he did in Indiana. The Lakers’ guard rotation is relatively set, containing Lonzo Ball, Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Josh Hart. Small forward doesn't have more room, either, as Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Michael Beasley are all options at the position. LeBron James is also an option at the position, but will likely play more power forward. All things considered, it seems unlikely Stephenson will have a big enough workload to be Fantasy relevant in most Fantasy formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Return to Pacers not imminent
Stephenson isn't likely to re-sign with Indiana any time soon, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Pacers will be near their roster maximum ahead of training camp once the Malcolm Brogdon trade with the Celtics becomes official, and with Stephenson rehabbing from offseason knee surgery anyway, there appears to be no movement from Indiana right now to bring the veteran guard back. The 31-year-old made an impressive return to the NBA last season after being out of the league since 2018-19, but he still doesn't profile as anything more than a depth option off the bench.
