Martynas Andriuskevicius

Acquired from Cleveland for Eddie Basden but may open the year in the NBDL to build strength.

This 7-3 rookie may have been a steal in the 2nd round of the 2005 draft. He is extremely long and tall but weighs only 228 pounds. He will relieve Ilgauskas when he gets in his inevitable foul trouble and the Cavs' decide not to go small by playing LeBron, Gooden and Marshall together on the front line. Andriuskevicius is still only 19 years old, and though he looked impressive in summer ball, he has a lot of developing to do--especially physically-- before he can be a useful fantasy player in the NBA.

Andruiskevicius is big and very, very skilled. Scouts claim that he has great hands, is a fantastic passer and doesn't shy away from contact despite his thin frame. He's got great quickness for his size and is capable of playing both inside and outside. He's been coached by Arvydas Sabonis. His body is still very thin and he lacks the presence to be effective in the paint. He will most likely be a top ten pick, as the Suns have showed vested interest in him.
