2017 Fantasy Outlook
The 76ers drafted Frenchman Mathias Lessort with the 50th pick in the 2017 draft. Lessort, a 6-foot-9, 250-pound big man is not a natural fit at either power forward or center in today’s NBA, as he is a little short for a center, but he lacks the range or passing skills typically sought after from a power forward. He has a deal to play for KK Crvena Zvezda in Serbia next season, and he was always expected to be a draft-and-stash candidate.

Last-resort option for New York?
The Knicks could try to sign Lessort in the summer of 2025 if they can't get an upgrade at center this season, according to John Hollinger of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Lessort played a key role for the French team during the Olympics, and while he wants to return to the NBA, his immediate future is unclear. The big man could be a "last-resort option" for the Knicks next summer if they still haven't found a reliable backup center, but several things could happen over the next 12 months. The 29-year-old big man is under contract with Panathinaikos in Greece ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
