2025 Fantasy Outlook
After winning the 2024-25 EuroLeague title and being named Finals MVP, Hayes-Davis agreed to a one-year deal with the Suns, returning to the United States. He hasn't played in an NBA game since 2017-18. The Wisconsin product was an undrafted rookie that season following a decorated collegiate career, but he was never able to solidify himself in the NBA before jumping overseas. The 30-year-old forward will have a chance to carve out a consistent role in Phoenix after the Suns traded Kevin Durant and bought out Bradley Beal this offseason. Devin Booker and Jalen Green will lead the team in usage, while Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams are expected to start in the frontcourt. However, the fifth spot is up for grabs, and Hayes-Davis is part of the mix. He'll compete with Ryan Dunn, Royce O'Neale, Grayson Allen, Rasheer Fleming, Oso Ighodaro and Koby Brea for playing time, which isn't a daunting group by any means. If Hayes-Davis carves out a consistent 20-minute role, he'll likely be fantasy relevant behind efficient scoring numbers and strong work on the boards. However, Hayes-Davis was never an efficient three-point shooter and isn't a stellar defender, limiting his upside. Read Past Outlooks
Sees 14 minutes in loss
Hayes-Davis ended Wednesday's 114-113 loss to the Grizzlies with four points (2-2 FG), two assists and one steal over 14 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dillon Brooks (groin) is still sidelined, and that's opened up some minutes at forward. Hayes-Davis has appeared in all five games to open the season, but his role leaves a lot to be desired with an average of 12.6 minutes per night and a shot rate of 10.3 percent.
