Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Williams-Goss was born Sep. 16, 1996 in Happy Valley, Oregon. He had a storied prep career as the first ever four-year player at national powerhouse Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada. The team compiled a 124-8 record during his time there, which included national titles in his freshman and junior seasons. Williams-Goss also participated in the 2013 McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. During the McDonald's All-American festivities, he put his shooting on display by winning the 3-point contest. Williams-Goss went on to have a milestone-filled college career, and while he was a second-round pick in 2017, he ultimately went overseas to play with Serbian club Partizan, and spent the next year in Greece with Olympiacos before returning to sign with the Jazz. You can follow Williams-Goss on Twitter (@NigelWG5) or on Instagram (@nigelwg5). Williams-Goss began his collegiate career at Washington in 2013-14, serving as a regular starter for two seasons before sitting out the 2015-16 campaign and transferring to Gonzaga. He was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team his first season after averaging 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists. His 36.8 minutes per game led the entire Pac-12 that year. Williams-Goss improved his scoring to 15.6 ppg his sophomore year, which ended up being the seventh-best mark in the conference. He was also named to the second-team all-Pac-12 unit that season. After a year on the sidelines, Williams-Goss returned to serve as the Bulldogs' primary point guard and received plenty of national attention. He was fifth in the West Coast Conference in scoring (16.8 ppg) and also won conference player of the year. Williams-Goss was also a Wooden Award finalist and a second-team All-American. He nearly helped Gonzaga win it all that season, but the Bulldogs fell to the Tar Heels in the 2017 National Championship game. Williams-Goss was selected in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft, but spent two seasons overseas before returning to the NBA.

ANALYSIS
After being selected by the Jazz with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Williams-Goss spent one season apiece in Serbia and Greece before joining Utah for the 2019-20 campaign. The point guard didn't make much of an impression over his 10 appearances with the Jazz as a rookie, prompting the team to release him during the preseason. With no other NBA teams interested in scooping up the 26-year-old point guard, he'll return overseas to continue his career.
