Garrity is coming off his worst season as his professional. He only averaged eight minutes a game last season and will have a difficult time finding the court again this year. Garrity used to put up big three-point numbers, but now he's been relegated to one of the last spots on the bench.

Garrity is getting pretty old and will not get enough time to put up significant fantasy numbers. He is good for three point and free throw percentage, especially since he is eligible at the center position.

Garrity used to have fantasy value as a three point shooting big man, but he probably won't get the minutes he needs to be a fantasy option. With Dwight Howard entrenched at power forward and Tony Battie on the bench, Garrity will be used sparingly against zone defenses or late in games for an offensive spark.

The 2003-'04 season was completely lost to Garrity only after two games with the Magic due to a bad right knee which he had surgery on. Although he has never averaged over 11 points per game, he can put in a lot of minutes (at one point as much as 30) and is a good ball handler and teammate. He won’t make a fantasy impact, but if healthy could provide more depth and back up the younger players with Augmon.

Garrity is recovering from two offseason surgeries. He will miss the first part of camp and may not be available right away when camp breaks. Last season he averaged nearly 40 percent from behind the arc and owns a 41 percent career three-point shooting percentage. Garrity will get his points but he remains spotty when he isn't shooting from long range.
