2025 Fantasy Outlook
The 22-year-old played 74 regular-season games for the Suns during his 2024-25 rookie campaign, posting averages of 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.1 three-pointers across 19.1 minutes per game, shooting 43 percent from the floor and 31.1 percent from beyond the arc. He finished outside the Top 300 in standard leagues, as he was unable to generate any momentum in Phoenix's crowded wing rotation. Over the offseason, the Suns moved on from Kevin Durant by trading him to Houston for Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen will be returning, although both are frequently mentioned in the rumor mill. Bradley Beal was bought out, and that alone frees up a lot of space on the wings. Dunn looked great during the Summer League, and there have been reports that he's projected to start in 2025-26. Although Dunn's upside seemed quite limited as a rookie, a second-year leap isn't out of the question, and it seems likely that he's going to be asked to step into a larger role on the new-look Suns. Nearly double-doubles
Dunn closed Wednesday's 120-116 win over Sacramento with nine points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 25 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Dunn checked a lot of boxes in this game for fantasy managers. He started this game and showcased his immense defensive potential with three blocks and a steal. He was also a terror on the glass, with five of his rebounds coming on the offensive end. If there was one bit of bad news, it's that Royce O'Neale played more minutes off the bench (29) and had a strong game of his own. Regardless, there's a lot to like about Dunn's outlook going forward.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Dunn has a strong reputation for being an above-average defender at multiple positions, and that's the role he'll probably fill in a star-studded Suns roster that features Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal as primary offensive options. The rookie out of Virginia was the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but his path to regular minutes is quite crowded, so it wouldn't be surprising if he opens the season playing in the G League. Even if he cracks the Opening Night roster, don't expect Dunn to handle many offensive responsibilities soon. His playing style and the contending situation the Suns are in conspire heavily against his upside, so fantasy managers would be wise to target other potential players. Dunn has potential but is years away from being a valuable fantasy option even in dynasty and deeper leagues.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be favorite to start
Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic believes Dunn is best suited to become Phoenix's fifth starter.
ANALYSIS
"Ryan Dunn established himself as a standout defender in his rookie year in Phoenix," Rankin said. "If he's grown offensively, particularly from three-point range, the athletic 6-foot-8 Dunn is an ideal starter at the four." Rankin notes that the other four starters for Phoenix are likely to be Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams. Dunn made 74 regular-season appearances as a rookie with averages of 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers in 23.6 minutes, and if you bake in some improvement as a second-year pro, there's plenty to like here.
