Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Ryan Anthony Rollins was born in Detroit in July of 2002. He is the son of Chris and Toni Rollins and has a brother who played college ball at Davenport University. Rollins was raised in the Motor City and attended Dakota High School, where as a junior he averaged 17.1 points and 2.5 steals per contest before succumbing to a hamstring injury. He earned AP Second-Team All State and Detroit News Division 1 First-Team honors after posting 25.5 points, nine rebounds, five assists per game as a senior. Rollins then committed to the University of Toledo, where he studied business and played hoops for two seasons. As a freshman for the Rockets (2020-21), Rollins started all 30 games, averaged 13.7 points per game and was named MAC Freshman of the Year. His stats improved across the board as a sophomore and he earned All-MAC honors. At the end of his sophomore season, Rollins declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, where he was selected with the 44th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors. No restrictions entering camp

September 22, 2022
Rollins (foot) will not have any restrictions in training camp or the preseason, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Rollins was sidelined during Summer League due to a foot fracture that was revealed after the Warriors selected him in the 2022 NBA Draft, but it appears the rookie won't be restricted any further in camp. Rollins should provide backcourt depth for the Warriors in 2022-23 after averaging 18.9 points per game for Toledo during his final collegiate season.

Could earn roster spot
GGolden State Warriors
July 13, 2022
Rollins could earn a roster spot with the Warriors ahead of the 2022-23 season, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
The second-round pick appears likely to claim one of the 15-man roster spots that remain available despite the fact that he's currently dealing with a stress fracture in his foot. There's a belief Rollins should be ready to go by training camp, and if that's the case, then he'll likely receive a standard contract rather than a two-way deal.
