Scottie Wilbekin

After failing to get drafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, Wilbekin played in Australia and Greece before locking down a four-year, partially-guaranteed deal with the 76ers this summer. In 41 games internationally last season, the 6-foot-2 guard supplied 13.6 points, 4.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 1.4 three-pointers in 31 minutes per games. He struggled with his efficiency, a concern after spending four years at the University of Florida, converting 40 percent of his field-goal attempts, 30 percent of his three-pointers, and 82 percent of his free throws, a conspicuous improvement over his 71-percent accuracy in college. Wilbekin earned the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards for his Australian club. He played 10 games during summer league and split time between the Orlando Magic and 76ers, aggregately averaging 12.0 points, 2.2 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 2.5 three-pointers in 25 minutes per game. He was miscast on Sixers' summer league squad as the shooting guard alongside Pierre Jackson, but the relocation allowed Wilbekin to show off his improved touch from the outside, sinking 42 percent of his three-pointers. Wilbekin is a streaky shooter, and he has a tough road to hoe if he's to earn a spot on the Sixers roster. His deal isn't fully guaranteed until January, and other than the aforementioned Jackson, Wilbekin faces competition from established NBA players Tony Wroten and Isaiah Canaan.
