Signs with club in New Zealand
Fall signed a contract to play for the BNZ Breakers of the New Zealand National Basketball League during its tour of the United States in the preseason, Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints.comreports.
ANALYSIS
The 7-foot-6 center has spent time in China since his departure from the NBA, but now Fall will have the opportunity to play against the 76ers, Jazz and Thunder during the preseason with the Breakers. The 28-year-old will attempt to show he can still play at the NBA level during the preseason. Fall hasn't played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season, during which he averaged 1.1 points and 2.1 rebounds across 11 regular-season appearances for the Cavaliers.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Fall appeared in only seven games for the Celtics in 2019-20. That said, he was named to the G League All-Defensive team last season. Fall currently ranks fourth among centers on the Boston depth chart, and he's well behind last year's starter Daniel Theis, newly signed veteran Tristan Thompson and third-year project Robert Williams. The 7-foot-5 Senegal native most likely will continue to develop his game with the G League Maine Red Claws in 2020-21.

Could be in line for bigger role?
Fall might be ready to receive a larger role in the rotation sooner than later, Jared Weiss of The Athletic writes.
ANALYSIS
Fall could step in as a regular member of the rotation due to the absences the Celtics have suffered in their frontcourt, and his teammates are acknowledging the fact that he seems to be ready for more playing time. "Tacko's gotten better since the first day that he got here," Jaylen Brown said. "He's gotten better. His body has improved. His timing has improved. And he's ready, as you've seen today. He came out, had a great game for us, defended, protected the rim, did everything we asked for, and that was just his first game. I think it's only going to get better the more opportunity he gets." Fall posted four points, eight boards and three blocks off the bench Friday against the Wizards.
