Tacko Fall

Elhadji Tacko Sereigne Diop Fall was born and raised in Dakar, Senegal. At age 16, he moved to the United States after being discovered in Dakar by Ibrahim N'Diaye, brother of former NBA player Mamadou N'Diaye. Fall was recruited to play for a charter school in Houston, where he was briefly roommates with NBA star Ben Simmons. and while in Houston, the two trained with NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon. Fall then played high school basketball at Liberty Christian Prep in Florida before attending UCF. Fall is very interested in computer science and would like to eventually become an engineer for an electronics company. Tacko Fall played for four seasons as a center for the University of Central Florida. His statistics were rather consistent throughout each of his collegiate seasons, averaging 10.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game during his tenure. During his freshman season (2015-16), Fall started 26 of 30 games, but he only averaged 17.6 minutes per contest. As a sophomore, his playing time would peak at 26.3 minutes per game. That year, the Senegal native was the tallest player in all of college basketball. By the end of the season, Fall was named the AAC Defensive Player of the Year, aided by his 2.6 blocks per game. The bespectacled center faced adversity during his junior season. A shoulder injury would limit Fall's production to only 16 games. He would return in 2018-19 to start 33 games and deliver 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game during his senior season. That year, Fall's UCF Knights would finish 24-9 and qualify for the NCAA Tournament. They would defeat VCU in the first round but lose to Duke in the second round of the tourney.
