Tyrell Terry

Terry was born Sep. 28, 2000. He played high school basketball for DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Terry led DeLaSalle to three Class 3A state titles as a freshman, sophomore and senior. The guard was named a finalist for the Minnesota Mr. Basketball award during his senior campaign. In 2018, he played for the United States at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament, which is a U18 tournament in Germany. In college at Stanford, the 6-foot-2 Terry was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. After his freshman season, Terry declared himself eligible for the 2020 NBA Draft. Terry served as the primary shooting guard for Stanford, starting all 31 of the games he appeared in during his first and only season with the Cardinal. He averaged 14.6 points per game -- good for 13th in the Pac-12 conference. Terry recorded nine 20-point games on the year, with his best effort of 27 points (on 8-of-14 shooting) coming Feb. 26 against Utah. He also produced noteworthy averages of 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals, all while shooting 40.8 percent from beyond the arc. Also of note was Terry's 89.1 free-throw percentage, which was good for tops in the conference and 12th in the nation. When it was all said and done, Terry was named to the 2019-20 Pac-12 All-Freshman team and put Stanford firmly on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament.
