Perez
announced via X on Wednesday that he and Red Bull Racing have agreed to part ways ahead of the 2025 season.
ANALYSISThis news has been long rumored, but it was finally made official on Wednesday. Perez will see his time with Red Bull come to an end after four years. Perez notched five victories over that time and helped the team to a pair of Constructors titles. After opening 2024 with four podiums in the first five races, Perez struggled mightily failing to finish better than sixth over the final 18 races, including a pair of DNF's to close the season. It's unclear where the 34-year-old goes from here or if he is able to ever find a spot on the F1 grid again.
Liam Lawson is the favorite to be announced as the new second driver at Red Bull alongside
Max Verstappen. That would then open up a seat at the sister team of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls alongside
Yuki Tsunoda.
