Cabrera has been dominating Triple-A hitters so far this season. He has a 0.87 ERA in his first 10.1 innings and a 14:5 K:BB. Batters are hitting a paltry .094 against him.
Cabrera has a big fastball that can hit the mid-90s and a biting slider that was once considered the best in the Cubs' farm system. His .158 BABIP is unsustainable, and those five walks in 10.1 innings are concerning, but we'll still give him credit for his hot start. He's not on the Tigers' 40-man roster, so a move would need to be made to bring him up at any point this season.
