Wantz (elbow) has struck out two and has allowed two hits and one walk over three scoreless innings in three relief appearances since being reinstated from Triple-A Durham's 60-day injured list Sept. 1.
Analysis
After completing his recovery from the right elbow surgery he underwent last July, Wantz has been cleared to join the Triple-A bullpen for the final few weeks of the season. Wantz previously saw big-league action with the Angels from 2021 through 2024, but he'll need to continue pitching well at Durham before garnering consideration for a call-up to Tampa Bay in September.
