Borden has been traded to the Rays to finalize the Sean Rodriguez deal originally agreed to on Dec. 1, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Borden, a seventh-round draft pick of the Pirates back in 2013, put together quite an impressive 2014 campaign at Single-A West Virginia, posting a 3.16 ERA and 8.6 K/9 across 128 innings. The 22-year-old righty seems likely to begin next season in the Rays' farm system at High-A Charlotte or Double-A Montgomery.
