Oliver was
traded to the Diamondbacks on Sunday along with prospect Josh Taylor and the Phillies' No. 9 overall international signing slot in exchange for the No. 1 overall signing slot.
ANALYSIS
With the Phillies apparently eager to make a splash in the international market, the team was forced to surrender a few assets in order to move up the pecking order. Oliver, a fourth-round pick in 2014, amounts to a lottery ticket for the Diamondbacks. He owned a 4.04 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and a 32:27 K:BB over 69 innings at Low-A Lakewood this season.
