Undergoes UCL surgery
Thomas underwent internal brace surgery Wednesday to remove bone spurs and repair the UCL in his left elbow, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.
Analysis
Though Thomas didn't require a traditional Tommy John surgery to address UCL damage, he'll miss the rest of the 2025 season and will likely remain on the shelf through the early or middle part of the 2026 campaign. A Rule 5 selection this winter, Thomas made two appearances for the Brewers before landing on the injured list April 8, allowing 12 earned runs on 12 hits and two walks over 5.1 innings.
